There are only minor differences in the Garmin Topo 9 layer map files and the Garmin Topo 8 or Topo 7 layer map files. Most of the changes are just to fix processing errors in the output files. You can also Download the Topo 9, 8, and 7 layers into a single file to save disk space.
There is more info about the Topo Pro V9 available on Garmin's web site. One of the advantages of the V9 is that you can remove the SD card and put in the card reader of your PC or Mac computer. Once that's done you can access the map from your PC or Mac and work with it. When doing that, don't forget to transfer the data from the card reader to the SD card.
It's true that you can download the Topo9 Pro for Europe from Garmin on the Web site, and there are three installation packages. But I know that the only one I really want is the package that installs the download as a map for your older Navman, which gives you the benefit of some new contour lines and the capability of changing the contour intervals. 7211a4ac4a
