My credit report, provided by TransUnion have some inaccurate information, including delinquent accounts. Due to this mistake, I can’t apply for any loans, credit cards and other stuff like this. I was informed by the errors in the reports by one lender. I checked other two reports, from Equifax and Experian and I saw the reports clear. What can I do to get the information changed? Is anything possible to do without a lawsuit or it’s inevitable and I should hire an attorney?

In fact, is possible to correct the errors by yourself, but sometimes it might be more difficult and it might take longer if you do it without an attorney. You should correct the errors disputing them. Review your report, write down all the inaccuracies you found and send the letter to the credit reporting agency. I suggest you to mail the letter, not to file it online or by phone, because it might be used as a proof in a future lawsuit. If the process seems to difficult for you, hire an attorney.
